GRATITUDE – FOR WHOM?

  1. We are taught from childhood to be grateful and to say “Thank you” as a means of courtesy to express our feelings when someone is doing something to us which is in our favour. As we grow, it becomes a habit, and we keep practicing it. But we also come across several situations where we are denied gratitude from someone whom we did something favourable to their progress. Naturally, we feel upset and started thinking about ungrateful people and start doubting even why we should be grateful if others don’t follow it. But irrespective of how others react, let us practice gratitude for ourselves due to the above mentioned positive traits which will help ourselves.

  2. "But irrespective of how others react, let us practice gratitude for ourselves..." Well said, Jayaraj, as we would positively remember it! Thank you for the right reminder!

    1. Thanks Saina, the key point which I note is that "it is really helping ourselves more when we become grateful".
